Reproduction -

January 23rd, 2023

Reproduction -

The process by which living things give rise to off-springs. All living things and organisms, should have the ability to reproduce, that is to adapt, become adjusted to their environment. That includes structural, behavioral, physiological traits that improve their likelihood of survival. Even the smallest bacteria must grow. It, then, has to adapt to the environment. All living organisms maintain a stable internal condition despite changes in their external environment.
This process is called homeostasis, an important characteristic of all living organisms.

Sensitivity -

December 12th, 2022

Sensitivity -

The capacity of any organism to respond to a given situation or stimuli.
It is also the quality of being influenced, changed or damaged.
The ability to understand other people through the nervous system, (the central and peripheral nervous systems).
Sensitivity determines how different values of an independent variable affect a particular dependent variable and a given set of assumptions.

Movement -

Movement -

Is action and activity – it can as well be an organized effort to promote or attain an end.
All living things are able to move in order to find food necessary to keep them alive.
Inside the human body, different activities are taking place through different organs. For example, the Bowell Movement that is constantly charged of maintaining cleanliness in order to allow the hygiene necessary to keep it going.

Growth -

Growth -

Definition: In every living thing, growth is a stage in the process of expansion: In nature, all the components of expansion are submitted to growth, a process of development toward accomplishment.
Growth favors the advancement of qualities required for evolution into life.
Widening, maturation, multiplication, augmentation, germination, are ways from which a natural produce builds up its existence to surge, expand and multiplicate.
Growth is the main condition for advancement in existence.

It is a general term referring to the separation and throwing off of waste materials or toxic substances from the cells and tissues of a body of sorts. Use of force or hard work to the max, as a laborious or perceptible effort.

Humans, to this day, keep alive thanks to their habits of eating animals.

Seven Characteristics Of Life -

Seven Characteristics Of Life -

- Nutrition, Respiration, Exertion, Growth, Movement, Sensitivity and Reproduction.
Life is based on chemistry. It is an ordered network of chemical reactions. The Molecules used by life are suited to environments with water. Life on earth molecules are specific. They are of four basic types called proteins, nucleic acids, sugars and lipids. However a perfect definition of “what counts as life” hasn’t been found so far.
In the so called NASA definition, “life is a self-sustaining chemical system capable of Darwinian Evolution”, called the Darwinian Paradigm. The word Paradigm is about the most used in philosophy. It is a way of looking at something: a perspective, set of ideas or prototype.

Life On Earth -

Science has established that we have been “Humans” for 2.5 million years, in a chain of Hominids dating back to 7 million years; a type of scavenger species capable of fashioning tools from stone. Homo Sapiens originated in Africa between 200,000 and 140,000 years ago. They migrated from there to other continents. The Neanderthals date around 200,000 years and were the first to live in complex societies. They became extinct around 20,000 years ago, in the Iberian Peninsula.
Our first ancestors, the Homo Erg aster - the first hunters who inhabited our planet 1.7 million years ago - were the first to leave Africa. They arrived to Asia where, between 1920 and 1940, fossil remains of a new HOMO were found.

What Is Life -

What Is Life -

Life is a self-sustained chemical system capable of undergoing Darwinian Evolution.
Life is defined as “an organized matter that provides genetic information metabolism”.
Biologists see life as transient. - Theologians see life as eternal.
Life on Earth arose within a billion years as microbial echo-systems were already colonizing shallow marine hydro-thermal environments along shore lines of volcanic islands.
Evolution is thus at the center of the origin of life.

The Punished Child

How do we teach a child to do the right thing when he/she did wrong?
- With punishment.
- Punishment provokes anger.
- And anger brings issues back to the fore where they are being reconsidered and possibly modified.
What sort of punishment gives better results?
1 – Mild - A mild way of dealing with punishment uses gentleness to address a change of behavior.
2 – Strong – To show strength is thought to be more efficient for changing the behavior of the child, who is being taught moral through behavior. However, strength does not mean rudeness.
